It all depends on your tank size and family size. If there are four people using the septic system and your tank is 1,000 gallons, a good interval is every 3-5 years. If you want us to come and check your tank to see if it should be pumped, just give our office a call!

A properly working septic system shouldn’t need any additives. However, not every system is properly used! If you are rinsing plates down your sink, or have a garbage disposal, or clean your toilet bowl with bleach, your system’s usable life will decrease. We sell a product that helps add good bacteria back into the system. Give our office a call to get a year’s supply for only $49.95!

NEVER EVER use “flushable” wipes. These do not break down in your system and will cause back-ups in your system. If it hasn’t happened yet, it will!
The best toilet paper is single ply toilet paper, because as it moves down your pipes, it breaks up on its way to the tank. We usually recommend Scott 1,000 sheets, but it’s up to you! The fluffier the toilet paper, the harder it is to break it down.
